From West Point to the Kitchen: Why I'm Asking for Your Vote

I've worn a lot of hats in my life. West Point graduate. Veteran. Entrepreneur. Inventor. But the one that drives me every single day? Problem solver.
That's what NULU is. A solution to a problem that millions of people face and almost nobody talks about — the moment when physical limitation robs you of something as fundamental, as joyful, and as deeply human as cooking your own food.
The Idea That Became a Mission
Three years ago, NULU was just a prototype and a belief — a belief that cutting, one of the most basic acts in any kitchen, was broken for too many people. Whether you're living with arthritis, nerve damage, limited grip strength, or the kind of wear and tear that comes from a life of service and hard work, the traditional knife wasn't built for you.
So we built one that was.
Today, NULU is a product. A real one. And since we came to market last June, we've grown 20 to 40 percent month over month. That's not just a business metric — that's people finding us, trying us, and telling others. That's the message getting out.
The Email That Says It All
I could share a lot of numbers with you. Growth rates. Units sold. Retailer conversations. But the thing that really captures wat NULU is about came in an email about two weeks ago.
A gentleman who had spent his entire career as a food prep professional reached out to tell us something that stopped me in my tracks. Because of NULU, he can work in the kitchen again. He can control what he eats. He can do what he loves.
And then he said something I'll never forget — that had he found NULU decades earlier, he might not have the physical issues he deals with today.
That is impact. That is the whole reason we do this.
Why I'm Asking for Your Vote
Right now, NULU is competing in the Entrepreneur of Impact competition — and I need your help to win it.
Here's what makes this competition different: the people decide. Not a panel of executives. Not an algorithm. You. Through your votes, you determine who advances from phase to phase. And you can vote once every single day.
The prize is meaningful — real capital, real exposure, and a one-on-one mentorship with Daymond John. As a product guy himself, Daymond understands exactly the journey we're on, and that mentorship could be a genuine game changer for NULU.
But more than the prize, winning this competition means more visibility, more reach, and more people finding a tool that could genuinely change their lives in the kitchen.
This One Is Personal
I'm a West Point graduate and a disabled veteran. My service shaped everything about how I approach leadership, problem solving, and mission. And my experience living with physical limitation shaped NULU directly.
I know what it feels like when your body doesn't cooperate with what your mind wants to do. I know the frustration. I know the loss. And I know how much it means — how much it genuinely matters — when the right tool puts control back in your hands.
That's not marketing language. That's my life. And it's the life of every person NULU was built for.
Here's What I Need From You
This is simple. It costs nothing but a moment of your time.
Vote once a day. Every day. Until we win.
Share this post. Share the video. Tell your friends, your family, your network, your community. Every vote moves us forward. Every share puts NULU in front of someone who might need it.
We're out to redefine cutting. We're out to democratize the kitchen for everyone — veterans, people living with disabilities, food lovers, home cooks, professionals. Anyone who has ever felt like the kitchen wasn't built for them.
It was. And NULU proves it.
Let's get to the finish line together. 🔪🇺🇸🙏
